Description:
Bullet, unexpended and intact. There is greenish-white oxidation on the cartridge case and ferrous corrosion on the bullet tip. Arabic letters and numerals were visible on base of bullet (different style of stamping): year '1327' AH (1909 AD), the number '96' and the Ottoman crescent moon and star symbol. Found at north end of terrace F723. Dimensions after cleaning (not conserved): overall length 7.6cm; Bullet tip: 2.2cm long x 0.95cm diameter (heavily corroded); Cartridge case: 5.4cm long, 1.2cm diameter base, 0.78cm diameter at the bullet end.
