Description:
Metal container - pannikin. Found in a dugout/rest area. Half-circle or D-shaped. Has eyes on either side (possibly for thin strap); four hinged eyelets equally spaced around (two on sides are vertical and ones on front and back are horizontal). Raised ridge 1.6 cm beneath lip of the pannikin. Some corrosion. Coming apart along base and up into body. Holes at front and one side. Rusted but details are clear and all fairly well preserved. Also a small separate piece. Dimensions after conservation: 17.2 x 10.6cm. The metal is 0.12cm thick. Photo is a grab from 2011 Notebook pdf.
